With increased risks of buying property, rubbish weather and the skyrocketing cost of living, more Brits than ever are grabbing their passports and waving goodbye to the UK for a new life abroad.
A recent study shows that around 5.5 million British-born people are now living abroad, and it also revealed that 78% of those who upped sticks said they were happier in their new lives. Networks of ex-pats often form in cities where lots of British people emigrate to, making it easier to fit in to a new country.
The most popular destinations for emigrating Brits are France and Spain, while Australia and Canada have becoming increasingly attractive for young people who want to experience life abroad for a few years.
