Caring Carell comes to the rescue of co-star Anne

Funnyman Steve Carell came to the rescue of Get Smart co-star Anne Hathaway at the film's LA premiere, by helping her dodge a reporter's question about her break-up with disgraced Italian businessman Raffaelo Follieri. During the red carpet walkabout before the Rome premiere of the spy spoof, a reporter asked Hathaway about Follieri, who was jailed on bail of $21 million following his arrest on suspicion of fraud. Before Hathaway could answer, knight in shining armour Carell put himself forward and said: "In my role of agent for Miss Hathaway, I would like to say that she does not answer questions relating to this subject." Now that's what we call a gentleman, eh ladies?
