Keeping It In The Family

Some families seem destined for fame! Here we take a look at some of our favourite celeb relatives.

Kylie and Dannii Minogue

The Australian sisters both kicked off their careers as soap actresses before working in music, and both have won the hearts of the British public. With Kylie currently playing stadium dates in the UK as part of her 10th world tour, Dannii is starting her second stint as a judge on The X Factor, with auditions beginning in London this month. The sisters are famously close, with Dannii even been known to join her older sibling onstage, the pair singing a duet on Kylie's hit single 'Kids' in Manchester last year. Fingers crossed Dannii might show up to support her big sister this time around too!

Alfie and Lily Allen

With infamous TV personality Keith Allen as a dad, it's no surprise that Lily and Alfie Allen were destined to be in the spotlight. After the release of debut album Alright Still in 2006, Ms Allen has become as famous for her style and MySpace blog as her music. She's now rumoured to be friends with Lindsay Lohan after spending lots of time in the US lately working on new music. Little brother Alfie has been more UK-based, and is nurturing an up-and-coming career as a stage actor despite being just 21. He appeared in controversial play Equus last year to rapturous reviews, and has also had roles in high profile movies like Atonement and The Other Boleyn Girl.

Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn

As one of the most famous of Hollywood's mothers and daughters, Kate and Goldie have both enjoyed lots of success as actresses. The beautiful Kate, 29, had her big break in 1999's 200 Cigarettes and has also become famous for her relationships with actor Owen Wilson and more recently cyclist Lance Armstrong. Kate was raised by mum Goldie and her long time partner Kurt Russell, whom Goldie met on the set of movie Swing Shift in 1984. Goldie has been hailed as one of the best comedy actresses of the 1980s, and is still considered very sexy at 62. She spoke to Jonathan Ross earlier this year about her relationship with Russell: "I like the fact I'm not married. I wake up fresh every day. I could walk out at any moment but we choose to be together."

Jessica and Ashlee Simpson

Glamour and fame seems to run in the veins of these famous sisters, who get followed by cameramen wherever they go. Jessica became world famous with her 'Newlyweds' docu-soap with ex-husband Nick Lachey, and she's also become known for her acting and signing career. Jessica's younger sister singer Ashlee married Pete Wentz, the singer from band Fall Out Boy on May 17, with Jessica as a bridesmaid and their father Joe giving her away. The couple are expecting their first baby on October 27, with a rumour that it might even be twins...

The Osbournes

One of the most famous and best-loved families both at home here in the UK and in the States, the Osbournes are a household name after their infamous reality TV show.Luckily Kelly, Jack and dad Ozzy are now more well known for positive things, like Kelly's recent role giving advice to teenagers on Radio 1 and Ozzy's Ozzfest tour, than the drug addictions that have plagued the family. Matriarch Sharon ('Mrs O') is leading a slightly quieter life now than in recent years, dropping out of The X Factor judging panel to be replaced by Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole for 2008, although there is a rumour that she might compete in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing - we hope it's true!
