Five Fun Days Out

You don't have to spend loads of money to have a great time on your days off!

Beach Time - We only really ever think about visiting the beach on those rare summer days when the sun's out and it really is hot enough to consider stripping off in public! But beat the summer crowds and get to know your beautiful local coasts throughout the year as well. You might want to take a Thermos flask of tea instead of buying an ice cream, and be sure to wrap up warm, but taking to kids to play on the shore or even reading a book in the car with an amazing sea view in front of you is a treat we should make the most of.

TV Audience Tickets - Going to the cinema is always great fun, but why not take it to the next level and get tickets to see your favourite TV shows being filmed live? There are lots of websites that offer the chance to get your name down the guestlist, and best of all, the tickets almost always completely free of charge! So whether it's Gladiators, Loose Women, Dancing on Ice or Never Mind The Buzzcocks that floats your boat, it's worth registering to get your name down!

Keep It Local - How many times do we overlook local attractions in favour of the big out-of-town, expensive days out like theme parks? Look closer to home and you'll be sure to find a range of low-cost days out on your doorstep. Visit a museum to find out about your local history, take a long lazy ramble through the forest (borrow a dog from a friend if you don't have your own!) or even hunt down things like tourist farms, art galleries, seasonal markets or even beautiful rivers and lakes. Undiscovered local treasures are more common than you might think!
